Multiple Teams · Pirate Bowlers start SEC Season on a Roll


The Pinckney Community High School Pirate Bowling Team traveled to Forest View Lanes in Temperance, MI on Monday, December 4th to start the Southeastern Conference Season in a dual meet versus the Temperance Bedford High School Kicking Mules.  The Pirates came away with two wins out of the four matches.

The Girls Junior Varsity lost a close match with the final score being 14.5 to 15.5.  They split the Baker games but came up a little short in match play.  High scores for the JV Girls were Jessica Strong at 148 and Abigail Bousho at 132.

The Boys Junior Varsity won their match 24-6.  A couple of the JV girls helped out on the JV Boys team in this match.  The Pirates opened by sweeping both Baker games and followed it up with some nice games in match play.  High scores for the JV Boys were Sean Miller with games of 186 and 141 and Chloe McGeachy with games of 163 and 153.

The Girls Varsity continued their winning ways from last season taking the match 28-2.  They carded two nice games to win the Bakers and carried that momentum into the match play.  High scores for the Varsity Girls were Rachel Kuczajda with games of 224 and 210, Josie Griffith with games of 174 and 163 and Taylor Whipple with 160.

The Boys Varsity lost a tough match with the final score being 23-7.  The Varsity Boys struggled to find the line in the Baker games but heated up a bit in match play.  High games for the Varsity Boys were Chevy Pawlik with games of 215 and 200, Ryan Gajewski with 187, Michael Miller with 185, Chris Randall with 174 and Chris Maschke at 167.

The Pirates will be home at Whitmore Lanes for their next dual meet versus the Tecumseh High School Indians on Thursday, December 7th at 5:00 PM.
