Boys Varsity Wrestling · Pirate Grapplers Take Down Lincoln, Fall to Bedford

It was a good night on the mats for the Pirate wrestling team.  They pulled off the team win over the Railsplitters of Lincoln.  They then faced off against a tough Bedford team and fell short.
David Emch had two great matches against Lincoln and Bedford winning both by falls pinning Bedford in a beautifully executed guillotine.
Tyler Lauzon stepped up hard with the meet on the line and came away with a pin in the final match to clinch the win against Lincoln.
Andrew Etherington got the team cheering when down in points when he put a strong Bedford Mule on his back almost pulling off an upset.  While he didn’t get the win, he sure gained the respect of the Bedford bench as they were silenced by his determination.
The wrestlers are headed to Clio this weekend for a tournament.   Good luck Pirates!
