Senior Hannah Burke was awarded the Hungry Howies Scholarship for the 2019-2020 Winter athletic season, from our local Hungry Howie’s store. She is a multi-sport athlete, competing on the Field Hockey team in the Fall, Bowling team in the Winter, and Tennis team in the Spring. She is an all around great representative of Pirate Athletics and she truly values the times she spends with her teams.
Hannah said, “Sports are important to me because it’s a good way to stay active and be healthy. Because of sports, I have made friendships and memories that will stick with me forever. Being a Pirate means confidence, leadership, respect, and hard work.”
Hannah’s coaches agree that she embodies these characteristics!
“Hannah brought a lot of positive energy to the team and wisdom about how to be a good teammate! She jumped right in and did a great job on defense.” – Varsity Field Hockey Coach, Alison Wink
“I am very proud to have Hannah on the Bowling Team. She represents not just her team but the whole Pinckney High School student body in a positive way. She has always put the team first and has been nothing but a positive influence on those that come in contact with her.” – Varsity Bowling Coach, Jim Paradise
“Hannah Burke brings enthusiasm and a positive attitude to the tennis team. We saw great improvement in her tennis game over the course of last season and look forward to her contributions to the team in the upcoming year. Hannah is very deserving of the Hungry Howies Pay to Participate Scholarship!” – Varsity Tennis Coach Francis Diaz
