Pinckney High School Bass Team held their 2nd tournament of the season on their home waters, Portage Chain, in Pinckney on Monday, April 26th.
The weather was a little nicer than the previous Monday with weather temps barely hitting 50 degrees, winds were ripping 10-20 mph with water temps in the lo 50’s.
This tournament was an open which allows fellow high school anglers to compete in our tournament.
We had our 8 Pinckney Teams plus one team from Howell High School this week and hope to see a few more at Woodland Lake in Brighton on Monday, May 3rd.
We had one team come in with the 5 fish limit, weighing in 10.39lbs on their best five. Mathias Dahline with the Howell Bass Team along with boater Alex Smith, former Howell High School Angler, took the “W”. They figured them out early and caught a limit in the first 50 minutes! Nice work!
Mathias has signed on to fish with Adrian College Bass Team next year which is the #1 Bass Team in the country. Congrats and best of luck next year!
We love to see local anglers getting to the next level, the opportunity is out there!
