Pirates struggled to find the strike zone in their opening game against Eaton Rapids. Add in 4 defensive errors and it made for a rough first game.
On the bright side Alex Geyer was 2-2 with a run and Bryce White was 1-2 with 1 run and 1 RBI. Sophomore Dale Westphal collected his first varsity hit and RBI as well.
