Senior Emma Gordon Breaks Shot Put Record

Senior, Emma Gordon set Pinckney’s school record in the shot put this past week with a toss of 38-1/2 inch .   She broke the mark of 37-8½ inch set by Chelsea Oestreich in 2005.  Emma is right where she wants to be after winning regionals, breaking the school record, and preparing for the state meet

Girls Track is Ready to Run

The girls track team competed in the SEC White Championship Final meet last Friday and came out with a Second place finish and some impressive individual scores. We had a number of SEC Conference Champions who were 1st Place Medalists: Maggie Rapp  1st in the 800 Maggie Rapp  1st in the 1600 Courtney Jarema  1st

Boys and Girls Track Win on Senior Night

  It was a record breaking night for the Pirates on the track and the Seniors wouldn’t have wanted it any other way as both teams defeated the Adrian Maples to stay undefeated in the SEC. Boys Highlights: Nick Cain broke the school record in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.7 seconds. 

Track Races Well At Trojan Relays

The track teams headed to Whitmore Lake on Friday to race in the annual Trojan Relays Invite.  The girls finished 3rd out of 16 teams and earned 27 medals! The boys finished 2nd out of 12 teams. Read the Livingston Daily race recap here.  The Pirates look to keep rolling and pick up two more SEC

Spring Sport Information

Important things for all athletes:  A Physical must be on file with the PHS Athletic Department dated after April 15, 2017 prior to the first day of practice or try-outs.  Registration must be completed through the athletic website (except for archery & bass fishing) Pinckney Athletic Registration.  Archery First day of practice Wednesday, March 14th in the Pathfinder

Pirate Runners Represent at States!

The members of the men’s and women’s track teams that qualifed for states competed this Saturday in Grand Rapids.  The Pirates ran well and represented Pinckney by bringing home All State honors as well as new school and country records! Ryan Talbott ran a 9:10.64 in the 3200 Meter to break the school record, place 5th

Runners are heading to States!

Both the boys and the girls track teams competed in the regional tournament on Friday.  Although the weather was not the best, the kids gave it their all and several qualified for the final State meet in June.
